TOPGOLF GIANT ILLUMINATED LOGO
As with every customised signage project we have completed for the Village Roadshow in the past, this one again had very strict criteria and guidelines on what to achieve. A gigantic 32m x 32m Topgolf logo is mounted in aluminium extrusion 62 meters off the ground. The Aluminium extrusions are power coated in a specific tone of blue to match the original Topgolf logo, and the brief was strict on matching the same blue colour for the illuminated signage as well.
The grandiose Topgolf logo is constructed of over 500 meters of LED Neon flexible linear lighting system, precisely shaped to form a perfect Topgolf brand.
The ULA Group projects team had been working day and night to deliver the project to the tight schedule and to avoid the extreme heat during Queensland’s summer months. The biggest challenge was the weather elements, with some torrential rain and high winds shutting the installation down many times.
But what the team has achieved and delivered is greatly rewarding. The WOW factor of a gigantic logo, which appears right in front of you when you are driving on the busy M1 highway, just speaks for itself.
The Topgolf Gold Coast is the first of a number of Topgolf destinations that Village Roadshow hopes to open in an exclusive partnership with the USA-based business.
Players at Topgolf aim microchipped balls at a number of giant circular targets on the outfield to score points and measure distance, making it a vastly different experience from your average driving range.
While the concept is hugely appealing to golfers, the venue has an emphasis on upscale food and drinks, great music, socialising and an unforgettable experience with friends and family.
