VuePix Infiled Screens for
‘Terribly Funny’ Jimmy Carr Shows

Jimmy Carr, the star of the UK’s most streamed Netflix comedy special of 2021, is back on the road in Australia and New Zealand with his brand new “Terribly Funny” tour.

Performing 32 shows across the two countries, from big arenas to more intimate environment of theatres & smaller venues … where you are likely to be drawn into the show and taken on a crazy ride of dark humour and controversial jokes.

Elite Event Technology were appointed to provide a full AV production for the two arena shows in Wollongong. As usual, they used VuePix Infiled ER series screens as their main digital platforms for these shows.

A large VuePix Digital Wall, 7m wide and 4m tall, was set up as a centrepiece on the stage, running eye catching visuals throughout the entire show.

“We have owned the VuePix ER4 panels for almost 6 years now, and they just keep delivering a rock-solid performance with every gig we deploy, indoors or outdoors,” comments Darren Russell, MD of EET.

Two additional LED screens – 5.5m wide and 3m tall – were set up as iMAG screens, one on each side, to make sure all Jimmy’s fans get most of the show in these large arenas.

The show and lighting design was led by Alex Saad, who was also a production manager for the show.

“We have owned the VuePix ER4 panels for almost 6 years now, and they just keep delivering a rock-solid performance with every gig we deploy, indoors or outdoors,” comments Darren Russell, MD of EET. “Our crew also thoroughly enjoyed working on Jimmy’s gig, he is just brilliant! He made us laugh through the entire show,” says Darren. “We can now understand why after selling out the first show in an arena this size, that a second show a month later was slotted into the tour.”
